Frequently asked questions
What certifications should I look for in toddler bedding?
Look for OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (no harmful substances), GOTS (organic cotton), and CertiPUR-US (foam safety). These ensure the bedding is free from toxins and safe for sensitive skin.
How do I choose the right size for toddler bedding?
Most toddler bedding sets fit a standard crib mattress (28×52 inches) or toddler bed. Check the product dimensions; many sets also fit convertible cribs and are designated as 'toddler' size.
What material is best for toddler bedding?
100% organic cotton or bamboo viscose are top choices for breathability and softness. For colder climates, flannel adds warmth. Avoid synthetic blends that may trap heat or irritate skin.
How often should I wash toddler bedding?
Wash sheets weekly in hot water to remove allergens and germs. Use a gentle, fragrance-free detergent to preserve fabric and avoid irritation. Follow care labels for drying.
Can I use a toddler bedding set on a crib mattress?
Yes, most toddler bedding sets are designed for crib mattresses that convert to toddler beds. Check if the fitted sheet has deep pockets to accommodate thicker mattresses.
