Frequently asked questions
Is lavender butterfly crib bedding safe for newborns?
Yes, as long as you use a tight-fitting sheet and avoid loose blankets or quilts in the crib. Our picks are made from certified materials (OEKO-TEX, GOTS) ensuring no harmful chemicals. Always follow safe sleep guidelines.
How many sets of crib sheets do I need?
Most parents recommend 2-3 fitted sheets to rotate during laundry. A complete set with bumper and quilt can be used for decor, but bumpers are not recommended for infants due to suffocation risks.
What is the best fabric for a crib sheet?
Cotton (especially organic) is breathable and soft. Muslin offers maximum airflow for warmer climates, while percale provides a crisp, cool feel. Jersey cotton is stretchy and soft but less breathable.
Can I use a regular lavender butterfly sheet for a crib?
Only use fitted sheets specifically designed for crib mattresses. Standard sizes fit most cribs, but check mattress depth (usually up to 6 inches). Our picks all have elastic edges for a snug fit.
How do I care for lavender butterfly crib bedding?
Machine wash in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Tumble dry low or air dry to prevent shrinking. Most sheets soften over time and maintain their color.
